Driving positive solutions to workplace challenges faced by career mums

CareerMum Events – Hibiscus Coast

CareerMum is pleased to announce three events on the Hibiscus Coast in Auckland.

– An interactive session that introduces simple exercises to help you understand your journey, flesh out what’s important to you, and help you to gain clarity on how you’re feeling, and how to move forward.

– This clinic-style session will provide you with tools and guidance for building your personal brand. Whether your priority is:

  • sharpening your CV and cover letter
  • getting yourself interview ready
  • building your online presence
  • and / or identifying your next move.

Come along to a relaxed forum, where you can spend time energising your approach – with resources, tips and new perspectives to help guide your way.

It takes a village… but how do you build your community of support?

This session will look at ways to build your personal and professional network, and to identify effective goals that will support you to progress your journey.

The session builds nicely on the previous two sessions, but will also be relevant if this is the only one you attend.

Where: Whangaparaoa Community Hub, 707 Whangaparaoa Rd

Time: All sessions run from 9.30am – 11.00am

Cost: $12 per event. NB: The events work best as a series, but can be attended individually.
Cost includes light refreshments.

Who should attend:

The events are designed to appeal to all mums – whether you’re a new or a seasoned mum, seeking work, in work, or a mum in business – these sessions offer a relaxed environment for you to connect with other mums, and apply energy to your own journey.

Childcare Support will be available onsite…

It’s great if you can get some child-free time to come along to these events, but we recognise this isn’t always possible. We’ll therefore have childcare support available onsite, provided by Coast Sitters.

Spaces are limited, and incur a small charge of $4/child. This service needs to be booked in advance on the ticket booking system.

More about these sessions:

This series of events is our way of developing local initiatives that help to build communities of support that can be accessed by all women.

The events will be ‘clinic style’ – so we’ll provide the venue, resources, and inspiration, while you work at your own pace, with the benefit of peer support and guidance.

Please note that spaces for each session are limited.

Come along, meet other local mums, and put the focus on you.
